How To Configure System Settings

In the “System Settings” section, you have the ability to customize various preferences using toggle switches. These options allow you to tailor your system to suit your specific needs and preferences, making your experience more efficient and personalized.

How to Get to System Settings

Go to Settings then click on System Settings. This opens a page where you can set your default reference check type, turn on auto-referencing, choose a template, and adjust a full set of toggle switches under General, Lead Generation, and Assessment.

What You Can Configure

Under System Settings, you can set your preferred settings for the following:

• Auto-Referencing

• Default Reference Check Type

• Mandatory Candidate Profile Image

• Mandatory Referee Email

• Mandatory Candidate Email

• SMS Feature

• Lead Generation Tools

• Assessment: Require Candidate Signature

Setting Your Default Reference Check Type

Choose a Default Reference check type from Employment Reference, Professional Reference, or Friends & Family Reference. Employment Reference is for a past employer, where the candidate must enter prior employment details with the referee. Professional Reference is for a professional contact who isn't necessarily a past employer, with no prior employment details required. Friends & Family Reference is a personal reference on character and work ethic, also with no prior employment details required. Whichever type you select becomes the default applied to new reference checks.

Turning On Auto-Referencing

Toggle on Turn on Auto-referencing to have the system promptly request referee details and automatically send out reference surveys as soon as candidates are added and the required information is received. You can also choose a template for these automated surveys from the Choose Template dropdown.

General Settings

The General section contains several mandatory-field toggles you can turn on or off:

Assessment Settings

Toggle on Require Candidate Signature to ask candidates to accept a disclaimer and sign before submitting an assessment. Once enabled, you'll need to fill in the Disclaimer Text field, which is the disclaimer message candidates must read and accept before signing, for example: “I confirm this assessment is my own work and understand it will be used to evaluate my skills. I acknowledge that false information may affect my results.”

Final Thoughts

System Settings puts the day-to-day behavior of your Righteo account in your hands, from how reference checks are triggered and which fields are required, to whether lead generation forms and candidate signatures are part of the process. Taking a few minutes to review each toggle helps make sure the system matches exactly how your team works.
