How to Manage Assessment Status in Righteo

Once an assessment has been sent, the work shifts from building to managing. Righteo makes it easy to act on assessments based on where each candidate is in the process. Assessments still awaiting a response can have reminders sent, deadlines extended, or be cancelled. Completed assessments give you instant access to results, certificates, and detailed scoring, including anti-cheating monitoring and per-test ratings. Expired assessments can have their deadline extended or be cancelled outright. Here's what each status means and what you can do with it.

Each candidate row in the assessment view shows their sent date, average marks, completion date, and current status at a glance, so you can see exactly who needs a nudge and who's ready to move to the next stage.

Status: Awaiting Response

For any candidate still awaiting a response, click the options menu (...) next to their name to:

• Send Reminder
• Extend Deadline
• Cancel Assessment

Clicking directly on the candidate opens a dedicated view confirming the assessment is awaiting a response, with the same three actions available as buttons, so you can remind them to complete it, push the deadline back, or cancel the request entirely.

Status: Completed

Once a candidate has completed their assessment, the options menu changes to:

• View Results
• Download Results

Clicking on the candidate opens a full results view with:

• Candidate Details – contact information, sent and completed dates, and the managing consultant
• Total Score – the candidate's overall score against the assessment's pass mark, with View Certificate and Send Certificate buttons
• Score per Test – a breakdown of how the candidate performed on each individual test within the assessment

Clicking View on any individual test opens the auto-marking view, which includes an anti-cheating monitor showing device used, time spent out of screen, and location, along with an answer rating for each question so you can see exactly how the score was calculated.

Status: Expired

For candidates who didn't complete their assessment within the allowed time, the options menu offers:

• Extend Deadline
• Cancel Assessment

Clicking on an expired candidate shows a notice confirming the assessment expired before the due date, with the option to extend the deadline and resend it, or cancel the assessment if it's no longer needed.

Status: Cancelled

Cancelled assessments are requests that have been withdrawn by the consultant, whether because the role has closed, the candidate is no longer being considered, or the request was sent in error. Cancelled status appears alongside the other statuses in the candidate table, giving you a clear record of which requests are no longer active.
