How to Reset Password

Keeping your password up to date is one of the simplest ways to protect your Righteo account. Whether you're following your company's security policy or just want a fresh password, Righteo lets you reset it in a few quick steps directly from your account settings. Here's how.

Why Resetting Your Password Matters

Your Righteo account holds candidate details, referee information, and reference check results, so keeping it secure matters. Resetting your password periodically, or right away if you suspect it's been compromised, helps keep that information protected and limits access to only the people who should have it.

How to Reset Your Password

1. Open My Account

Click your account icon on the top right side of your screen, then click My Account from the dropdown menu. This takes you to your User Profile.

2. Select Security

On your User Profile page, you'll see three tabs: Personal, Contact, and Security. Select Security to view your password and two-factor authentication settings.

3. Click Change

Under the Security tab, find the Password field and click Change next to it. This opens the password reset form.

4. Enter and Confirm Your New Password

Enter your Current Password, your New Password, and then Confirm New Password to make sure it matches. Once everything looks correct, click Reset Password to save your new password, or Cancel if you'd rather not go through with the change.

Final Thoughts

Resetting your password takes less than a minute, but it's an important habit for keeping your Righteo account secure. While you're in the Security tab, it's also worth checking whether Two Factor Authentication is set up, since it adds another layer of protection on top of a strong password.
